Amazonas

Located in the heart of the Amazon Forest is Manaus, the capital of the state. The green Amazon Forest, the dark waters of Rio Negro, the muddy waters of Solimões River, exotic local cuisine, diverse architecture, and very welcoming people are some of the city’s highlights.

The city, also known as the Paris of the Tropics, inherited beautiful buildings built with fine materials from Europe from the days of the Rubber Boom.

When it comes to attractions, Manaus has plenty. Your clients should experience the downtown area of the city, with monuments that tell a lot about local history, as well as lots of handicraft shops, markets and art galleries.

Manaus is the main gateway for those who want to visit the Amazonas Forest. Boats are the main transportation to the rainforest hotels, as well as to see the meeting of the waters of Rio Negro and Solimoes Rivers, to observe Amazon River dolphins in Anavilhanas, and to visit places such as Moon Beach (Praia da Lua).

Tours along broad rivers or narrow streams also provide contact with the riverside communities and the opportunity to experience indigenous influence at its best, including local gastronomy and its exotic dishes.

The Historic Center of Salvador features streets and architectural monuments that date back to Colonial Brazil, the Empire, and the First Republic. The neighborhoods of Sé, Pilar, and Pelourinho (added to Unesco’s World Cultural Heritage List), add up to the region's culturally rich offering, making it a very popular destination within travelers looking for museums, theaters, more than 300 churches, musical performances, local cuisine, and handicrafts.

Fernando de Noronha

With an unparalleled beauty, the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha is composed of 21 islands and islets and has been declared a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Fernando de Noronha has some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, such as Baía dos Porcos, Praia do Leão and Baía do Sancho, the latter has twice been voted the best beach on the planet by TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards.

With warm and crystalline waters, the marine life is very diversified. Sea turtles, rays and dolphins swim freely in the warm waters of the region.
